Buying our software

  • Can I extend my licence to cover more computers?
  • Concurrent use licences let you use our software on a set number of computers at one time; if you have such a licence, you can extend it to cover more computers.
     
  • Can I purchase a site licence for your Crocodile products?
  • School Site Licences are now available for all of our Crocodile Simulator products. UK schools can convert existing concurrent licences to a School Site Licence, which may be free of charge if your existing licence is large enough.
     
  • Can I upgrade to the latest version?
  • Upgrades for Crocodile Physics and Crocodile Chemistry are available through our online Crocodilia support service.
  • Users of version 501 of Crocodile ICT, or later, can download a free upgrade to the current version. Earlier, in 2004, we gave away a limited number of free copies of a pre-release version of Crocodile ICT, which was called version 0 (also version 410). Unfortunately, there's no upgrade to the current version from version 0.
     
  • What happens to my existing software licence when I upgrade?
  • When your licence is upgraded, the new licence will replace your licence for the old version. Normally, the new software will be licensed for the same number of computers as you had for the previous version.
     
  • Can your software be purchased with eLCs?
  • All of our software that's designed for 10-16 year olds is registered with Curriculum Online, which means that English schools that receive eLearning Credits can use this funding to purchase it.
     
  • How do I view my licence details?
  • If you already have one of our Crocodile simulators installed, you can check how many computers you are licensed for by choosing the 'About' command in the 'Help' menu. More about your licence details...
     
  • Is there a demo version?
  • You can download demonstration versions for each of our titles and try them in your teaching - they're linked from each product's page, which you can access from the menu bar above.
     
  • Is there a home-use version of your software? 
  • Schools can also subscribe to our Crocodilia support service for Crocodile Physics or Chemistry, which allows students access to versions of the software at home.
     
  • Can teachers use the software at home?
  • Our multi-user licences - either concurrent use licences or school site licences - all allow teachers to install and use the software at home while they are employed by the licensed institution.

  • All of our software products can be run on a network, as long as the computers on which the software will run fit with the minimum system requirements.
     
  • What are the minimum system requirements?

  • I no longer have my disk. How can I reinstall the software?
  • Replacement software is available for Professional Editions. We will issue a replacement if your software has been lost or damaged, though there may be an administration charge.  Please contact us if you need replacement software.
