Programming PIC and STAMP chips on XP/Vista 64-bit
All Crocodile Technology Products Our 3rd party programming tools are not supported on 64-bit operating systems. There is no current workaround for this in our existing Crocodile Technology range.
Quicktime Error when trying to watch videos Absorb Products Download v7.2 or an earlier version of Quicktime. This issue has been fixed for the Online version of Absorb, currently available at www.absorblearning.com
Error in content file Crocodile Physics v504 The example 'Newton's third law of motion' in Crocodile Physics 504 is incorrect. We have now produced a correct replacement file.
Crash using graph auto-fit Crocodile Physics v401
Under certain circumstances, the graph autofit button causes the software to crash. There is a work-around for this.
Link to real-PCB fails with restricted permissions Crocodile Technology v410 & later The automatic link between Crocodile Technology and real-PCB may not work if you are using a computer account which has restricted permissions. Save the real-PCB netlist and then use the import function in real-PCB to open it.
Crash during installation Crocodile ICT & Crocodile Technology v410 Installation terminates after entering licensee name and CD Key. If you receive error messages during installation, please reinstall using an organisation name of less than 20 characters,
Server installation problems with real-PCB
real-PCB Unfortunately we have found a defect in the 'Server Installation' route on real-PCB CDs sent out before January 2005. This has now been fixed.
Problems setting internal angles
Crocodile Mathematics Internal angles cannot be set using connections. Internal angles can be read, but not set through connections.
Unknown angle symbols Crocodile Mathematics A question mark or empty square may be displayed in place of an angle mark, due to a missing language library. You will need to install an appropriate language library.
Zoom control icons not shown on Windows XP
Crocodile Mathematics If the zoom control icons or other in-page icons are not be visible on Windows XP, go to Windows Start > Settings > Control Panel > Display and select the Appearance Tab. Then under Colour Scheme select the 'Default (Blue)' option.
Problems with panning or zooming trigonometric axes
Crocodile Mathematics Panning or zooming axes can cause the axes to change to increments of 100. Switch automatic divisions off before you start panning or zooming (in the Axes tab of the graph part side pane).
Text box problems Crocodile Mathematics Under certain circumstances use of the text box in Crocodile Mathematics v401 can cause the programme to freeze. Read more about this.
Printing issue Absorb Courseware When printing an Absorb unit using Internet Explorer 5, rather than the whole document printing, the first page prints out repeatedly. Upgrade to Internet Explorer 5.5 or later from Microsoft's website.
