Crocodile Clips

Simple Simulation Software

Yenka Programming is now available

8 October 2008

On 8 October, Crocodile Clips is launching Yenka Programming, an innovative new modelling tool for teaching computer control and programming.

The software is designed to be used by either students or teachers. Simple flowcharts let you control 3D characters or animations, making programming easily accessible to all. It's a novel way to teach about control, starting with the basic concept of a sequence of steps, and moving on to loops, variables and functions.

Yenka Programming has been developed from the acclaimed Crocodile ICT, which the scienceman.com website called "a groundbreaking program for teaching computing, control and programming". There are some big improvements for users of this software: characters can now dance to a range of music tracks, and they move in full 3D. 3D objects can also be imported from tools like software like the free Google Sketchup.
